Any of you have attended a postgame conference as a “normal Joe Schmo” fan (ie not a media personal)? Through Golden Gopher Fund & Loyalty point program, there are perks like Pregame Field, Tunnel Walk, and Postgame conference experiences awarded.

Just wondering if any of you had any experience as a normal Joe?

Did you get to sit or stand in the back?
Was it crowded where you can’t even see Coach? Did you get to stay for the players’ Q&A?
Where is it even being held (ie next to the locker room)?
How soon after the game do you need to be there?

Been on the field for pregame & postgame and the tunnel thing multiple times, but never attended a postgame conference. Excited to attend this experience for the first time.

I've never been to one but if you have the opportunity, I'd do it just so you can see what it's like. Could be interesting. I've had the opportunity to see MNUFC press conferences a few times but I've never had the patience to stay around that late after the game.

Just learned more details!

Meet at the West Plaza as early as before the end of the game, will be escorted to the media room. We’ll get to sit and not stand. We can also stay for Player’s interviews also after PJ does his thing.

Excited about this.

How did it turn out? Did the field storm gum things up?

Since we were winning convincingly at the end of the 4th quarter, we left our seats around 5 minutes remaining in the 4th. Walked down to the place that we were instructed to meet to be taken to the post game presser.

My son and I had a hunch that there will be a “rushed the field”, but we felt that making to the post game presser would be more exciting since we had a “rushed in the field” experience at the Penn State game in 2019.

The post game presser was super cool. My son and I were taken to the press room along with 6 other people. The presser room has about 25-30 chairs and the media personalities (Pierre, Danial House, Randy, Justin, Rob, Ryan, etc) occupied the first two rows. We (fans with passes) sat in the back row.

It was really cool to see all of our Gophers media personalities in person since we always see them on YouTube videos. Saw Mark Quayle and Heather Fleck also.

We stayed for the players interviews after Coach left. When Coach leaves, 50% media personalities left also. Was kind of fun when players looks around the room and sees us. They’re probably like, who are these randoms! 😆

During the presser, the media personalities just screams out their questions, I now know and why we can’t hear their questions in YouTube videos is because they just ask questions in their normal conversation voices. Only one guy speaks out loud when he asks his questions. Surprised there isn’t a handheld mic to pass around to the media personalities during a presser?

The presser lasted until midnight and when we left, we actually saw Baranowski leaving the facility at the same time.

Highly recommend to attend one postgame presser should you get a chance to.IMG_1829.jpeg
