I figured Fitz would always be a concern so I was pretty relieved when he... well... when he was relieved.

But somehow Northwestern keeps lurking around. I thought they were dead, only to watch them do the big comeback and provide PJ with arguably his worst B1G loss. Northwestern promptly fell off my radar again, yet here they are again winning B1G games.

I now suspect the trip to Wrigley Field to be a challenge.

...now queue the first post to declare it is Iowa week, we need to go 1-0 in the Iowa week, etc. etc. I'm not on the team or coaching staff though, so I get to worry about games down the line as well as the one on the upcoming Saturday.

Could care less about Northwestern as we have Iowa this week. Drake will light up the scoreboard in Chicago.

Well, I think our performance against Iowa will probably be a good indicator of how we play against Northwestern. Both good on the ground and pretty bad in the air. So in other words, worry about Iowa and then late that game decide how much you want to worry about Northwestern.

I don't think this current Northwestern team is anything special but we are also not the kind of team that can overlook anyone. Play well and we should beat them, don't and we could easily lose to them.

We own games played on crappy cramped football fields jammed into baseball stadiums.

And you thought PJ was just tanking to get to all these chicken shit bowl games the past few years?.

He's been playing 3D chess prepping for this game to go along with the crap effort at Ohio State so we can surprise them when we meet them in the final, because he knew this was the year he'd be around a Champtionship football team.

It's all a part of the plan....

I believe you are correct to be concerned.

IOW, Trust the plan!

One game at a time but a team who has hit bottom… yeah sometimes they let loose and are dangerous.

Jeff Horton beat Iowa once like that ….

Northwestern has beaten two lame duck coaches and Purdue with their backup QB

We will learn more about them in the next few weeks.

They play:
5-2 Nebraska
Bye
@ 5-2 USC
5-2 Michigan

I will predict they are 6-4 when they play Minnesota. Not sure which one they win.

They beat a buncha lousy teams. See you in Chicago!

I am thinking about past struggles at Dyche Stadium/Ryan Field. When they had grass it looked like it was long and the Gophers struggled, much like how Michigan did in that 1977 classic at Memorial Stadium. I am hoping the same thing does not happen at Wrigley Field in 3 weeks. How to replicate that kind of terrain in practice?
