Just sayin'
It sort of makes sense at this point in the season.Of the 1 (conference) loss big ten teams here are the conference records of the teams they beat:
Michigan 4-8
Northwestern 3-9 (beat UCLA)
USC 3-9 (beat Michigan)
Minnesota 2-10
UCLA 1-11
Iowa 0-12
If the big ten turned from a 3 bid league to a 4 bid league, it almost has to come from these teams - UCLA + Illinois + Nebraska + Washington
Don’t think a 3 loss team can make it from the big ten this year

The 18 team conferences makes schedules SOOOO imbalancedInteresting factoid! I don't have much memory of conference standings in the middle of seasons but it seems like there are an unusually large number of teams who are winless in conference so far: 5.
Iowa has played three of those and will play one more (Mich State) later in the season. Of course, we have played two of those and will play two more later in the season. Iowa does have Oregon and USC after their game with the Gophers. We have only Oregon but Northwestern is looking more formidable than anyone expected this season. They've also beaten two teams who are winless in conference and beat UCLA before they started their current streak.
