Anyone know what happened to him? He didn’t look right running on that screen.

I was assuming that he just did that stumbling thing that happens when you try to hit the jets and your body doesn’t want to cooperate. I was yelling at the TV as it looked so similar to what cost us the game against the Steelers when it happened to Addison. Hopefully not a hamstring, but hadn’t really thought about that.

Definitely looked like he pulled something. I saw on TV he went to trainer, but then nothing more was shown or mentioned.
I guess the good thing was he didn’t grab at anything while running.

Burns said on GGR that he thought he knocked knees the play before.

Earlier in the game he was lightning fast in space

You can see a full replay of that specific play at around 9:11 of this video.

Could be nothing, but if it was something I wonder if it is a hip flexor? Or a cramp of something?

To me it looks like a injured hamstring
Usually with hamstrings, it’s instant pain and the player goes down and grabs it. He had a hitch in his gait and then after was running noticeably slower. He then stayed on the ground after getting tackled and rolled over onto his stomach.

I was watching what he would do after that play- he first appeared like he was going to stay in the game, but r then got called off the field. If he had a hamstring, he would have voluntarily taken himself out and wouldn’t have been able to jog off the field.

Seems much like Tyler Johnson as a freshman with a capacity to make plays but needing experience and strength. My son and I went to Lincoln in 2016 and Johnson had a catch & run of about 30-40 yards but he was caught from behind. We agreed: give Johnson a couple years and he’ll finish plays with touchdowns—as will Smith, eventually.
