In his Gopher Gridiron podcast this week he said that Nebraska run defense and Gophers could exploit. Done!!

He also mentioned that once pressured Riola would go down easy! 9 times!!

Well done Mr Burns!

Changing up that O line really helped.

Our offensive line even got some power runs, some we haven’t gotten all this year.
What changed? Wasn't the line last night the same one that started the season and couldn't do much against Buffalo? I know there's been a bunch of shuffling since then.

Pretty much the same 5 players, just moved around. This week they moved Johnson (65) to LG, he had been at RT all season and LT two weeks ago. Marshall (74) went from LG to RG, and Ray (73) went from RG to RT

I honestly wasn't paying attention. Did we start an OL group that we hadn't before this game ?

They looked really good last night.

I do have to say, though, their podcasts could be a good 20 minutes shorter and still cover everything.

Johnson has not been RT all season. He started at LG. The line that started last night was the same as the one that started the season vs. Buffalo.

Burns has been on a crusade to have different players on the offensive line. Can't blame him. I wonder if he'll stick with that.

Minnesota did have 153 yards rushing and 290 passing. Granted 3 tackles for a loss but Minnesota could have scored again if they wanted to but choose to run out the clock with a 9 minute drive. I would agree every game in between until last night they have not been good.

Appreciate the correction, I was definitely wrong about this. Johnson played LG through the Rutgers game, LT at Ohio State with Roy at RT. Then for Purdue Johnson played RT with Roy playing LT.

Our run schemes were significantly different with the QB under center, et al.

That did seem to be the winning O and D strategy for this game.

I liked the misdirection pitches. We don’t have the talent to just line up and consistently beat down P4 opponents, we need to out scheme teams.
