Who remembers when Tanner Morgan (@T_morg2) went 21 for 22, throwing 396 yards and four touchdowns against Purdue?!?

Also the game where Purdue lost their QB and best WR in the same play.

Just unfortunate.

Very exhilerating. Hope appeared for the first time that season.

The Gophs were 4-5 going into that game. Defense was discombobulated to that point.

One of the finest QB performances I've ever seen for the Gophers, second only to his absolute gem vs Penn State in 2019. 18/20 339 YD 3 TD 0 INT against a top 5 team.

Anyone remember this Purdue game in 2012? Also one of the finest halves of Gopher passing I can remember. 246 yards all in the first half. That one afternoon in October 2012 when we thought freshman Philip Nelson was the QB we had all been dreaming of.

Yup, my wife drags me to a barn wedding in Iowa....I snuck away to listen to the second half on the car.radio which was parked in a hilly grass field. A couple car rows away the noises of "Yessss!! Yess! DON'T STOP!!!" were interrupting my concentration.
Morgan and the Gophers kept fighting....Morgan was amazing on that day and in the 2019 season. Very fun listen!
And my absence was hardly missed...my excuse...I was in line for the porta potty.

They must've been Gopher fans too referring to Morgan's mastery

That receiver plays for the Vikings and got hurt on a punt in pre season and now out for year. Missed 2024 due to knee injury as well. Rondale Moore could fly when healthy.

It was David Bell (who ended up being the games leading receiver I mean)

Edit: I see the OP was best WR, not leading, my bad
