THE DETAILS. ...
Pick 12 teams for the entire 2025-26 season. 8 must come from the ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big XII, SEC, + Gonzaga, with no more than 2 from any conference.
Pick 2 from the American, Atlantic 10, Mountain West, or WCC (minus Gonzaga).
Pick 2 from the remaining 22 conferences (mid- & low-majors).
Points are awarded for:
1. All wins vs. D1 opponents (season opener through conference tournament) = 1 point.
2. Regular season conference championships = 4 points if outright, 2 if shared.
3. Conference tournament championships = 3 points.
4. NCAA First 4 win = 1/2 point
5. NCAA 1st round win = 2 points
6. NCAA 2nd round win = 5 points.
7. NCAA Sweet 16 win = 8 points
8. NCAA Elite 8 win = 10 points.
9. NCAA National Semifinal win =12 points
10. National Champion = 16 points
To emphasize, wins in postseason tournaments other than the NCAA (i.e. College Basketball Crown, NIT, CBI, etc.) DO NOT COUNT.
Tiebreakers
#1 National champion is one of your 12 teams
#2 National runner-up is one of your 12 teams
#3 Most Sweet 16 teams among your 12 teams
#4 Guess #9 seed for Big Ten Tournament (closest to determines winner)
If the 4 tiebreakers don't break the tie, place winnings will be split.
Payouts & percentages will be adjusted as needed if not reaching 68
1st place (50%)
2nd place (30%)
3rd place (12%)
4th place (8%)
The contest will be updated weekly starting Monday, Nov. 24 after the first three weeks of the season are completed. I will need an email address for this.
