All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

You were the one that brought up what possibly could happen as being "hilarious".

My comments about Flores were specifically to address your comment there there would seem to be "to be no good reason for him to make a lateral move to go to another team as a DC".
You corn fused me, as your reply wasn’t in my hilarious post; remember I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer 😎.

All I did was present several valid reasons he could walk to a lateral move.
Agree to disagree.
As to the likelihood of such a move, I have no idea.

Let's see how this year works out for the Vikings, not to mention the 31 other teams who may or may not be looking for a proven DC with HC experience.

Right now the task at hand for Flores is to find a way to stop teams running roughshod through the Vikings defense. Hopefully Van Ginkel and/or Cashman return ASAP to solve that issue, but if not they need to pivot to adjust the performance of the 2025 Defense and hopefully make the Wild Card.
I wonder what the PFF grades are for our 2 FA DTs grades vs. running plays?

FWIW,

one of the talking heads mentioned before the Browns going down, that Wentz would be a hot commodity at the deadline🤷‍♂️

Love this leadership -

KOC mentioned Addy’s transgression in his presser and JJ her addresses -holding him accountable. If we keeping it a Buck, JJ’s outfit is azz

I'd heard that too, I thought, somewhere in the last several days, that's why I mentioned trading him in an earlier post. The Vikings would not only have to have a high degree of confidence in JJM before doing that but they would have to feel confident about his health as well.

Then who would be #2? Doesn't seem likely they are willing to entrust serious game time to Brosmer at this point. I guess that could change but it could be a while?

Missed thar.

They would have to have another vet option, as I agree with your point below regarding Brosmer.

I think he’ll have a distinguished Gary Kubiak backup career and end up being an offensive coordinator after he hangs ‘em up.

If he was viewed as your best option to start the season, zero reason to pull the plug after 2 games (one of which he was the spark to win). Makes sense he’d be the guy

Jim Souhan agrees with the logic.
