Most programs would be excited about developing a quality pro QB and tout that in order to attract other potential QBs to campus.

Look at how Minnesota's history of NFL safeties helped attract Koi Perich, for example. I'm sure the U's accounts were all over the big plays Howden and Nubin made on Sunday.

This kind of petty shit looks like genius when Tom Brady is leading you to a bunch of championships but looks foolish when you can't stay within 4 touchdowns of your ACC foes.

Heck we put our "Gophers In The Pros" on the big screen every game and the crowd loves it.

I can't imagine "no we can't tweet about Brosmer" as a rule.
 



Apparently even G5 coach's knew UNC would be bad when they suddenly realized they were competing with UNC for recruits when they presumably had not been before:

What a trainwreck....serves UNC right for bringing that circus to town. I can understand why college players would be drawn to Deion and playing for his program. Not sure Bill is going to have anywhere close to the same pull....in fact with all the weirdness going on it will probably do more to keep talented players away than it will to draw them in.

North Carolina probably does something similar, but I suppose Drake Maye gets redacted.

Because the petty squabbles of their head coach currently override the success of a player Belichick never coached, possibly has never met, and who plays for a distinctly different era of a franchise he once worked for.

It's a very clear way of saying "I'm bigger than the program, bigger than my players, and my feelings mean more than their successes"

I've never understood the concept of this petulant, vindictive stance from Belichek. What college player would have any interest in a school that is attempting to reduce their exposure to NFL scouts and GMs?
 



Bill Belichick is one of the worst college football coaches in all of the Power 4. The brass at UNC was dumb as hell for hiring him and they are going to pay dearly for it. They already are.

I am just assuming Bill is old and …. for some old folks their world kinda shrinks into just them.

And his GF, if she is driving the bus… those kinda folks will isolate their victims from others too :(

Outside of getting them a ton of attention I really never understood this hire. Just can't see Bill having the energy or desire you need for college football. Won't be surprised if he hangs it up after this season.

Shocking that hiring a surly 73 year old head coach is failing at the college level....GF is probably not thrilled by this news as I am sure she would have loved he publicity to promote herself.
