Gotta pressure the QB. Our DL has to win some of the one on one battles. When we blitz we have to make the QB move his feet at a minimum. That’s been the ballgame here. Otherwise, I have no complaints otherwise, really. We were a whisper from a TD and 21-7.

Even the coverage wasn’t horrific on all of those passes, but their qb is putting it on the nuts.
 





You win with players. According to 247 sports recruting: Ohio St 11 five star players and 56 four star players! Their 3rd string players are four star guys. Take a guess how many four star players the Gophers have?

We would actually risk an interception and runback for a TD.

It's that kind of night. Plus the crowd would have been nuts if we tried to run a play.

Right call to regroup.

It will be a victory if they have to work for their next score. Too easy so far. We just don't have any pressure on the QB.

But actually for the game at TCF back in 2014 with Urban as HC, it was a similar day. Dilly Bar Dan was calm and cool and tOSU scored twice with relative ease to keep them ahead.

Story remains the same. Super Gopher Ron Johnson still stands tall in the record books.
 

A loss is a loss. The score doesn't matter. At a minimum, I give Fleck credit for going for it on 4th and short at midfield because everyone in the country knows that Minnesota can't trade punts with OSU and the Gophs had to take some risks. The Buckeyes executed better on that play and a bunch of others and here we are, 21-3 at half. Not a surprise.

MN will be 3-2 after this game and OSU will be 5-0 no matter the final score. Not a surprise.

Play to keep it close against the Bukeyes and you will get burried. Probably damned if you do and damned if you don't but you might as well give it a try and running that that play sure isn't giving it a
try.

Ironically I thought up one on Gophers converting 1st downs...thinking it would be a way to stay sober.

I think we've gotten enough to have a light buzz in Jaeger shots...

Their QB is leading the nation in accuracy.......completing 78% of his passes this year which is just insane

That's the thing he doesn't have to throw it to the end zone. Maybe you get an interface call which gets you in range of a throw to the end zone. We will never know because we don't even try. Not trying sends the wrong message to the team. What do you even tell the guys at halftime, "try not to get hurt, this game is over"
