All Things 2025 Minnesota Wild Offseason

It was 11 years ago today that the hockey world lost one of its legends when Herb Brooks was killed in a car crash as he was returning from the charity golf outing at the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in Eveleth, Minn.

USA Hockey Magazine honored the two-time Olympic head coach by putting him on the cover and asking a number of his friends throughout hockey for their thoughts on the architect of the "Miracle on Ice." Among them, Craig Patrick, who was an assistant coach with the 1980 Team, said, "“Herbie lived the game and he loved the game.”

Very tradeable contract which I assume is exactly how this will turn out. Gives BG some room and time to get a deal done down the road. Glad this is over

Rossi caved. Guerin got everything he wanted. That's good for the Wild because Rossi isn't worth $7 or $8 million.

This helps clarify how much money is available to extend Kaprizov, and leaves enough space to trade for a difference maker or sign one next offseason.

They better get Kap a new contract before the season starts or it could get ugly. If they don’t he’s as sure as gone after the season if not traded during season

This dude just continues to look like he just got up after putting away a 12-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon and a half a bottle of Jack. He should just complete the look and have a cigarette hanging out of the corner of his mouth

I don’t think he caved so much as there were only 8-9 teams who had that amount of space and he’s not worth that draft capital to have had to sign him. Hitting market in 3 years is exactly what I’d want as a player betting on myself as the cap is going to go up about 30million (expected) so that means he’s signing his longest deal at an aav in the 9mil range with plenty of years if he’s as good as he thinks rather than getting his final contract that they will shorten on him or lower the aav due to career end decline. Hitting UFA at 27 with everyone with much more cap is a great deal for him
