UGH!!!
Win Twins!!
Win Twins!!
Joe and Derek use the same AI tool (free version of course) to craft their word vomit statements.Just remember the roster purge from two weeks ago was strictly and purely about baseball and nothing else.
I don't know that they thought this through. They're at home after this (predictable) disastrous NY trip. Corey Koskie is being inducted into the Twins HOF on this weekend. One (or more) Pohlads are usually on the field for the ceremony. Guessing there might be a boo or two from the crowd if they show in public.
Charley Walters.who ever could've seen this coming
+o4The Pohlad's have torched all goodwill with the fan base. Attendance and TV revenue will plummet further next year. Then a lockout in 2027. This team will be worth less 3 years from now than it is today.
No matter what their debt situation is, they should have taken what they could get and run. I'm astounded they think this is the right financial move.
Or attendance and TV revenue tanks next year. The lockout nukes 2027 and the eventual CBA changes little. Now the team is worth a lot less than it is today. A pretty big gamble. They're hoping the lockout will benefit owners, as well as a new national media deal, so they can try selling again for more in a couple years.
It's the same gamble prospective new Owners were not willing to take either.Or attendance and TV revenue tanks next year. The lockout nukes 2027 and the eventual CBA changes little. Now the team is worth a lot less than it is today. A pretty big gamble.
New owners would at least have a chance at goodwill with the fan base and higher attendance. Target Field will be a ghost town next year. It's the same gamble prospective new Owners were not willing to take either.
The math does not work out, as they are currently carrying a $400MM debt.Carl bought the team for $44MM in 1984, or an inflated value (CPI) of roughly $140MM today.
The Pohlad's will be just fine selling it for any price.
Heck, I'll give them $200MM today and they'd still come out just fine.

FIFYOur focus throughout has been on what’s best for the long-term future of our bank accounts.
I assume they will raise the price $3. $18 beer night. The Pohlad's could foster goodwill in one easy call:
$3 beer night. Every day.
