I think we'll cover and win by 20+. Granted that all depends on QB1 and where he's at. We'll know pretty quick.
 



I've come to fully expect our defense to play well but with a young QB leading an offense with questions at WR and OL, this seems like a fair line. With Taylor, if our run blocking is solid from the start, the "over" should be an easy bet IMO.
 


I don’t think they’ll have much luck passing on us. They do have a good rb though.

Against FBS opponents that aren’t power 5 in season openers fleck has won:
17-7 vs Buffalo
48-10 vs New Mexico State
38-0 vs new Mexico State


Part of why we have looked sluggish in openers is that in 7 years of fleck it’s been those 3
28-21 vs South Dakota state
13-10 vs Nebraska
Losses to Michigan and Ohio State

The gophers don’t play cupcakes in the openers very often anymore. That Buffalo bulls team was 6-6 but was pretty talented and won 10 games the next year in the pre portal era


The only real puzzling result was 28-21 over SDSU
