Looks like a good replacement for Wright. Looks very well put together, and speed looks pretty decent too for his size.
 

Vandy offense was pretty brutal last year...surprised he didn't get a look, especially with the redshirt rules.

For comparison, he was rated a bit higher out of HS than Wright too so potentially an upgrade in talent.

The 6-foot, 223-pounder suffered a torn ACL late in high school, did not see game action in 2024 and did not appear to regain peak form until during spring practice. Just as Cardenas appeared to have turned a corner, he suffered a hamstring injury in practice followed by a high-ankle sprain in a scrimmage

 




It would be nice to have a pair and a spare that could give quality snaps so we don’t overuse the main RB's snap count. Keep the legs fresh.
 

Best case scenario: he comes in and gets healthy/develops. Steps up next year and contributes.

Worst case: the shuffle at RB behind DT continues and the picture isn’t any more clear.

I think it ends up being a net gain though.
 

According to some sites he is legit fast. Would be nice to have a back with home run capability.

Especially since he's coming off of injury, doubt he plays much this year. Probably more for the next couple years after Taylor bolts.

It’s a bit of a shock to me, he had a great shot at carries for next year. Nothing really changed in the less than a year since he committed here. I wonder if this was due to something off the field.

Yeah, I mean, if he was portaling for a better option, he probably would have said something on his social media - like the typical goodbye that everyone seems to do.

For it to be quiet like this, it's probably off-field.
 

With Cardenas gone, the current Gopher roster—by my count—stands at 109. Last I heard, the 2025 roster limit is 105, which would mean that four more rostered players must be dropped. That is, unless the 2025 roster limit has some fudge factors that I forgot about. Anybody remember?

It would seem to me that 105 on the roster is plenty of bodies and shouldn't need more. An NFL roster is roughly half that including practice players.
 

Really thought him and Fame would be the future. Sucks to see him go.
