The Pistons are turning into Dinkytown East. JB, Burleson, Curry was on staff last year, possibly Johnson.

Go Gophers!!

Ben Johnson completely soured on college hoops it seems

I dont follow the NBA very closely outside of the Wolves. Does the Phoenix or Detroit roster have better wing span?

I just listened to the gopher gridiron chat with a past regent. I know understand why MN failed at bball and football post 1970. Some old guy Dean johns who never attend the u was a regent and he sanctimoniously rambled. What a mess

Dean Johnson, the ex majority leader of the House and ex minority leader of the Senate? He didn’t become a regent until 2007. While I agree the U has had shitty admins, can’t blame it all on him

Yes, it was Dean Johnson. I don’t blame him but having regents selected who treat it like a political position is not ideal.

Good pay, no recruiting. Why wouldn't he?
This is a good point but basketball is a different animal than football recruiting

Football you’ve gotta basically recruit 105 guys every year, hoops you have far fewer

So I think the workload between nba and college hoops makes nba a larger grind. (41 road games!)

Heaven forbid you make it to MLB as a bench coach...

That one is interesting
I have no idea the pay difference but I imagine a college baseball assistant coach doesn’t make a ton

No idea on mlb
