CBS is ending ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ next year

Kilby is on Barriero about once a month. You can podcast episodes he's in. He's a massive T-Wolves fan and he and Barriero get along quite well. Always a fun segment. He's even been in studio. Kilby is also doing some podcast thing of his own that I haven't yet checked out. Might not be out yet?
Kilborn had the decency to have models on his show almost nightly.

Stephen Wright.
Steve Martin.
Eddie Murphy.
Don Rickles.
Rodney Dangerfield.
Sam Kinison.
Bob Newhart.

I don't think Leno is close to being as funny as either of those 7, in their prime.
Good list, especially Wright and Kinison. You're missing the guy at the top of my list...Mr. George Carlin.

The last 4 on your list are dead. Martin is a prop comic and Wright (who is excellent) I am not aware he that he works the crowd. Murphy might …work a room.

Kilborn's The Life Gorgeous debuted in 2022.

I listened to pretty much all of the episodes centering on the Wolves recent Playoff run.

Martin was way more than a prop comic back in his heydey. Audio only, his albums were pure gold.

Heck yeah!!

This will be a minority opinion but I think Dennis Miller was absolutely fantastic; his weekly (I think?) show on HBO was absolutely must-see TV for me for years.
Miler is funny and I liked him on Monday Night Football

For some reason, I can't get out of my head Miller, on MNF, talking about the 49ers QB, Jeff Garcia; "He's the NAFTA QB, Canadian with the Mexican sounding name. And if things don't work out, you can be sure the 49ers are going to feel free to trade him after the season." Who the hell thinks of that.... just classic

They should have given him another year. It took a while to get used to but it was just starting to get good and they pulled the plug.

Agreed. It's a national broadcast, and let's face it, not all the games end up being interesting and that's when the talent saves the show.

Hell, the broadcast channels might as well roll it back to the ‘70s, save some cash, and bring this back (except at 10:30, not midnight):

On second thought, at 11:00-first run Cheers reruns; Cheers always felt right at 10:30. And of course, Benny Hill on Sunday nights.
As kid, the bedtime signature was the syndicated reruns of Cheers on Channel 11 after the news.

Total coincidence...

IF that is the reason, from a team Trump standpoint, it’s a terrible move. De platforming doesn’t work. As you’ve seen with Tucker and others. Trump himself actually. So if you’re right, it’s a good thing for Colbert and the left. Plenty of other options for him.

I can see Colbert signing a Rogan-esque contract with one of the big streamers.
