REPORT: @On3Memphis has obtained direct messages of former Memphis DB Tahj Ra-El sending UTSA QB Owen McCown the Tigers' playbook before their game

Purdue(The DB's home this year) and the conference said there is really nothing here?!?!?

How could that be nothing. He is deliberately handing over information to help the other team. How could this be interpreted as nothing?

I think they are saying that since Michigan was caught doing way worse and for the most part skated this is not that big of a deal.
To me the action of deliberately sabotaging your own team is much worse than cheating to gain an extra advantage for your own team to win.

Not that either makes the other okay, which is why I didn't get why the two were interrelated.

I feel the same. This is way worse than Michigan.

If I was purdue(?) I'd kick him off the team immediately. Which teammates would want to trust this a-hole.

Was he getting NIL money from UTSA?

Weird story. I'm very curious as to what is behind Ra-El's motivation. Don't know if it's betting-related, but maybe Ra-El took the over.

I wonder what his motivation was? Maybe some beef with his own team. Long time buddies with McCown? Weird.
Ra-El was dismissed from team after the 3rd game of the season and is now listed on Purdue’s roster. This was game nine for Memphis.

Ra-El was kicked off the team for stealing his teammates items and pawning them off.

Update...just checked the Purdue roster and he is no longer listed.

His bio still exists.

This makes more sense now

Yes... Michigan has 'skated'... but not for much longer, as the Zamboni is headed straight for them... and at a pretty high rate of speed... ;)

Please...there is a better chance Western has their Title taken away than Michigan get anything beyond a light slap.

(unless you are making a joke I missed)

I might agree with you, but I was just answering the question. Though I will add having a coach dress up as a member of the staff for another squad in an effort to steal signals is a bit beyond normal cheating.

Ooof.

Dr. Tom would find a spot for him back in the day...
