71 is way past the average life expectancy for your professional wrestler. Still, a bad week to be a guy who was a big star in the 80s (Ozzy, Hulk, Malcom-Jamal Warner).

I had the fortunate to meet Hulk Hogan about 35 years ago while working out at a health club in Chicago. I happened to be at a machine next to him and finished a set at the same time, and had a brief chat.

What a terrific guy. Welcomed conversation and very friendly. I haven’t watched pro wrestling since I was a kid, but I’ve always enjoyed watching the Hulk entertain.

RIP Brother. You will be missed.

My Dad had quite the vinyl catalogue of Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass records. I always found them to be a strange mix amongst his CCR, Steppenwolf, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings albums.
