Battle is going to play in Europe.I was told on this board under good sourcing that Dawson was coming back for his 6th year. I demand answers!
The same group also said a year ago that he would be drafted, late 1st, early 2nd. The GH crowd is not the group you want for realistic info.I was told on this board under good sourcing that Dawson was coming back for his 6th year. I demand answers!
To me....with no idea what NBA teams look for ...it seems Garcia and Battle are pretty similar?I can't see a world where Jamison Battle can make it to the NBA and Dawson can't. Go get'm Dawson!
No, they're much different players. To me....with no idea what NBA teams look for ...it seems Garcia and Battle are pretty similar?
They have similar shooting stats. Garcia is 4 inches taller but I'm not sure he utilizes the advantage.
Battle played in 59 games as a NBA rookie.
Summer league probably important for Garcia? Pistons were in the playoffs...were they the best
fit or his only offer?

I agree. I'm no great basketball mind, but I think Battle is better suited for the NBA game with his shooting range and he looks to be a bit more mobile on offense and can set up quickly either off the dribble or off a screen with his shot. Key for Garcia will be what he can do on defense. He will have to get stronger, but you can't teach height. Battle is really one-dimensional and probably limited to being a juice off the bench guy.No, they're much different players.
Dawson is a better player but unfortunately for him, Battle's skillset is more valuable to NBA teams (deeper range, quicker release, has better bounce).
I could see Dawson getting some cups of coffee in the league but would bet he ends up making bank as a great dog in the EuroLeague.
Think how pissed of the Pistons are going to be!I was told on this board under good sourcing that Dawson was coming back for his 6th year. I demand answers!
They're both interesting. They're both plus shooters for their size.I agree. I agree. Thankfully, the NBA corners and College corners for 3 points are nearly the same so finding corners would work for Dawson. Dawson has the size so he can help defensively and give spot minutes while he works on the rest of his outside game. Dawson's problem may be his ability to get to the rim in the NBA. Faster and quicker defenders will stop most of his moves to the basket. They're both interesting. They're both plus shooters for their size.
For Battle, he is a bit more athletic than people give him credit and he's sort of between big wing/small ball 4 on defense in the NBA. He is a good enough shooter that he could have a role in the right spots.
For Garcia, it's somewhat similar. He is a plus shooter for a guy of his size, so he will be able to spread the floor. The one question I have is if his range can extend to the NBA 3pt line. He has good size, he rebounds alright and he can shoot a bit. He could find a spot.
