I’m thinking of going to this, great lineup but with how bad the acoustics are in there and the Marching Band being muffled wondering if it’s worth it to drop that kind of $$ on tix

Looks like the stage will be set up on the Plaza though so maybe the sound will be better at street level

Thoughts?

The stage is pointed toward the closed end of the stadium. I bet it will be fine (if not good). I saw imagine dragons there during all star baseball week and the stage was pointed toward the Gophers sideline (if memory is correct) and I don't remember acoustic issues. I think our marching band being quiet is due partially to the band and partially to the fact they are pointing to the open end.

I thought U2 sounded just fine at the Bank

You post a thread so you can bitch about whether or not you should spend the money due to sound quality. If that ain’t “Minnesota Passive-Agressive,” I’m not sure what is. Hurry up, fall camp.

Got 6 tix in section K for about $2200. Expensive? Yes. Memory with kids and spouses. Priceless!

UMN band has woodwinds, which aren't loud. If the band were going for volume they'd be all brass and drums.
The acoustics will be fine. People going will go to support Farmers. That lineup, however, is made up of old men who now yell at clouds. It's just a nostalgia concert to raise money and awareness for farmers.

A problem for farming is that land is being bought up by billionaires and local farmers are becoming hired hands like a fuedal state.

Old men that yell at Clouds? Clearly you know nothing about good music... Margo Price, Billy Strings, Trampled by Turtles & Nathan Rateliff are incredibly talented and add to an already legendary lineup. Neil Young can still jam out, but keep listening to Cities 97 if you must.

I'm admittedly an old man who yells at clouds. And I love the lineup. The rest of your post doesn't belong on this board, spoken as a former farm kid.......

I'm looking forward to seeing Waxahatchee.
