Good listen. Getting to know Niko. So far so good! Seems very real, grounded and the kind of guy to sit, chew the fat and have a couple of brews with. Ben always seemed to be out there somewhere and always searching to say the "right" thing.
 

A couple nuggets he mentioned I thought were interesting:
  • "Positional length matters more as you come up" basically the first thing he mentioned they were looking for, after the generic stuff about finding "their guys"
  • Signing players is kind of like buying a house… Sure he might like a house, but not at THAT price (Kyan Evans, Parker Jefferson?)
  • "Looking at the point guard position, the post position is a little bit more expensive...but you know, if you have to pay this much for this guy is it really worth doing that, as opposed to let's not do that, let's find more value at the other position" I can't tell from how he verbalized it if he thought PG was more expensive too or if he was saying he was spending less money on post but his dollar went further on point guards. Still interesting to see that both of his posts are really good passers, that says something to me about how he plans to utilize/moneyball the position.
