We’re West West LafayetteThree former Purdue players.
Question is, do we want to be? Hopefully these are good players just caught in a bad program. We’re West West Lafayette
This guy was an 86, 3-star out of high school with other offers from Duke and Kentucky. Seems solid. Depth at worst.Question is, do we want to be? Hopefully these are good players just caught in a bad program.
Per Ryan Burns’ write up, he also gel offers from OSU and Syracuse via the portal!!This guy was an 86, 3-star out of high school with other offers from Duke and Kentucky. Seems solid. Depth at worst.
Story. Well, I thought maybe got a lot bigger...but that's not it. They do talk about him being an NFL prispect coming out of high school. My guess is he liked our track record for sending OL to the NFL. Why he blew up a bit for interest IDK but I like the pickup and anticipate he'll play for us.Interesting add, I wonder what caused the increased interest compared to when he was in high school.
I hope not. That program might be melting down in front of our eyesWe’re West West Lafayette
My Purdue friends say the program is a strip mine and wished us well with our portal additions from their limping program.I hope not. That program might be melting down in front of our eyes
Hopefully, he doesn’t play like Lucille Ball…I wonder if he has any relation to Jerry Ball
Or Lamelo Ball...Hopefully, he doesn’t play like Lucille Ball…
Yeah, has to be rough being a Purdue football fan. Program wasn't great under Tiller but was solid (especially during the Drew Brees years). Brohm looked to kind of have things trending in the right direction before jumping ship, and of course the last 2 years have been brutal. My Purdue friends say the program is a strip mine and wished us well with our portal additions from their limping program.
I thought under Tiller in general they were very good 25 games above 500 in his career there and the Brees years were obviously incredible. That said, I would have enjoyed watching PJ defenses playing against Brees much more than what we fielded back then.Yeah, has to be rough being a Purdue football fan. Can definitely understand why players would want to get out if they have opportunities to go to a more stable program with a better shot of winning.
edit - just looked at Purdue's portal numbers......56 out.....43 in.....wow that is a ton of player movement. Almost Colorado like without the sideshow.
How tall is he compared to Mike Morris? But what does Jack Jones think?![]()

I agree that our current defenses might have fared better against Brees but I am not positive of that. I will never forget the 1998 game in West Lafayette. Brees was 31-36 - 522 yards and 6 TD and I can recall many of those passes that day where the coverage was good but the throw was just better.I thought under Tiller in general they were very good 25 games above 500 in his career there and the Brees years were obviously incredible. Far and away the most impressive QB performance I have ever seen in person.
Didn't feel real lucky while he was shredding our defense but looking back on it now it was pretty amazing to see one of the greats playing at a really high level before anyone truly knew who he was.Lucky Duck to have gotten to see thst in person!!
