2025 Transfer Portal Watch

I think IU got more good players transferring in than what they lost transferring out although they lost two very good ones in Mgbako and Reneau to the portal and lost Ballo to eligibility.
Fair enough, just don’t love those particular numbers from that player and tough to replace an entire roster.

Cade Tyson a 6'7, 200 pound small forward visited the Gophers. He is a UNC transfer after playing at Belmont. He is a career 42 plus percent three point shooter and he made nearly 47 percent of his threes at Belmont just two years ago. He then played at UNC a year ago. He was listed as a guard at UNC.

He is doing other visits and Iowa could be included.

Would love to have this guy and add to our lengthy 3PT shooting stable.

Interesting to see where he ends up, sounds like he is getting interest from the likes of Kentucky, BYU, Purdue. Maybe his experience at NC soured him on the big name schools.

Tyson has proven to be a P5 defensive liabilty, and his confidence has been shaken playing minimal minutes. My guess is the War Room is not going to overspend on him. I’d be excited to get NAriz Trent Mcglaughlin, but admittedly I don’t know about his ability to defend at a high level, but at least its not proven to be bad. I trust the coaches.

Report is that he had a good visit at Iowa after Dinkytown. It could come down to the Gophers or Hogeyes.
