I think Kirk like the spotlight and the drama. I don’t see him being a good backup.

How long till the first articles pop if JJ struggles that we should have, A Back to The Future Reunion?

If JJ is the real deal, there won't be any controversy. Nobody in the Vikings organization or fan base believes Cousins would be our QB of the future.

All I'm looking for in a backup for this season alone is a guy that gives us the best chance to win if JJ gets injured. That's certainly not a guy who wasn't even good enough to be on a NFL roster last year.

IMO, it would be a shame to waste an entire season considering all the effort Kwesi put in to create a "win now" roster.

I still think it ends up being Tannehill FWIW.
 





Derek Carr has a shoulder injury that may cost him the season. Aaron Rodgers to the Saints or do they focus on Shadeur Sanders in the Draft if the NYG pass on him? Could also be another Cousins destination now that CLE went in another direction.

Bold is exactly the thing for me. If JJ is Joe Burrow, then great, we're done.

But if he's not ... or he has some growing pains and it would be better to bench him than turn him into Bryce Young .... or the injury gets tweaked ....

You can't waste this roster.
