Oh Good, Now We Can’t Escape Politics Thru Sports

To be fair, we really haven’t been able to for at least a decade now.

At least you're able to post a political thread on the football board.

I bet Smith would have done this for $100.

Good for him, I can’t begrudge a guy for getting paid to do what they love.

Why and how they can afford this is crazy to me. The idea that ESPN makes enough to pay out $100M to single personalities is absurd. Especially given the recent pronounced financial difficulties.

If you were going to Stephen A. Smith for your sports in the first place that kind of says it all.

I took my car in for service recently, in the waiting room they had ESPN on. Smith was yelling about something ... someone got up and turned the TV off.

I don't get who wants to listen to that shit all the time?

If you’re watching espn for actual sports news / adult / honest discussion….you made a mistake already.

100%.

The "worldwide leader" has been an unmitigated dumpster fire for well over a decade now. So sad to see really

He just screams about everything.

He just tries too hard.......making everything a dog and pony show. He is so fake.
He's a blowhard that gets paid to rant, be inherently argumentative and annoy people. That pretty much summarizes ESPN's entire business model for the last 10 years and why I don't watch.

He was great on Bill Maher's show, though, and Maher was quite pleasantly surprised by some of his takes. He's no fan of the current Democratic Party, that's for sure.

Neither is Bill Maher.
