Depending on how much actual care and affection the kid gets from his parents unrelated to the social media activity, whether he ends up a mess or fairly normal, he'll likely never want to have anything to do with a camera ever again. It's pretty fucking gross, either way. The mental gymnastics the parents must do to justify it is insane, because they're the ones benefitting, not the kid.
 

Who plans an 11 year olds career? Especially with no notable unique talents? Insanity.
 

I can see this going one of two ways. 1.) Toxic parenting where a dad thinks way to much of their child and is willing to make a side show mockery of them just to get ahead. or 2.) He is just a regula Dad who sees how impressed others are by the size and ability of an 11 year old and sees an easy way to have some fun with this and get enough money to pay for family vacations and his kids college regardless of how his football ability goes. Tells son they are going to have a little social media fun but there is not pressure to play football - he just wants his kid to have the opportunity to do whateve he wants in life.

My guess #1 - but hoping for #2
