We need a statement tradition song!

Someone write a rock song for PJ to lead sing. I’m sure he’d cave if you told him he’d get his own spotlight.

Those Were the Days

Song by Carroll O'Connor and Jean Stapleton

Boy, the way Glenn Miller played
songs that made the hit parade
Guys like me we had it made
Those were the days
Didn't need no welfare state
ev'rybody pulled his weight
gee our old LaSalle ran great
Those were the days
And you knew who you were then
girls were girls and men were men
Mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again
People seemed to be content
fifty dollars paid the rent
freaks were in a circus tent
Those were the days
Take a little Sunday spin
go to watch the Dodgers win
Have yourself a dandy day
that cost you under a fin
Hair was short and skirts were long
Kate Smith really sold a song
I don't know just what went wrong
those were the days

oh brother, this would go over well😅

If we want to be big players in the new college football landscape, we are really going to have to start asserting dominance. We will run onto the field to enter sandman and act like we have no idea what they are talking about when we immediately get called out. Then we will continue doing it as if VT never had the tradition in the first place.
See thats funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I think of music, I am a fan of...

- Marilyn Manson's Killing Strangers before the game
- This is how we roll (row) after halftime
- Purple Lambo before kick offs
- Random playing of Just a Friend, I love it, etc

Take it or leave it on the Goldy... I think the 3rd/4th quarter break needs something but I don't think people need to overthink it. Something classic, something every generation knows, something that is easy to sing to. Not saying it has to be one of these songs, but something similar to Living on a Prayer, Journey songs, Friends in Low Places, etc. Something along those lines that gets the entire stadium singing...

Battle Hymn is awesome. The whole marching band's pregame routine, in general, is fantastic I think. However, it does still piss me off that we play the opponent's fight song almost every game. I'll never understand that. Sportsmanship is great and all but I think that's too much.
My favorite after The Rouser.

Everything I'd suggest would probably feel too heavy for milquetoast types, but I do think Heavy Metal is the gold standard for hyping sports.

Perhaps some Frozen Soul, Amon Amarth (mainstream enough), or Nile, lol.

I’ve always liked “Closing Time” but that’s for the end of the game.

If I was a closer for the Twins, definitely would be my walk out song!!

I asked my son, while at a Twins game, what his walk up music would be.

It took him a couple of innings, but decided he would use a squeaky clown shoe sound effect.

I love it.

Do the gopher is so tacky. I am the only one who hates it? Levels by Avicii is a great song but it doesn't cut it. I would argue the swaying before the game is more impactful, I wish the whole stadium did it and not just the students.
I think it's just cheeky fun.

Not a song but a chant; ever since I stepped foot in that stadium for the opener against Air Force, I thought the crowd should say "Ski"..."U"..."Mah" at each kickoff.

As the the kicker hits the ball, the North side yells Ski, the student section yells U, then the South side yells Mah.
