***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT IOWA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

He doesn't do anything when he can't score. Parker was probably worse than him today which is something.

He can't score when he's on the bench. Outside of @MSU, he has scored when he's played.

It's dumb that he didn't play more in the 2nd half today. They couldn't score when Garcia went out, and that's the one thing JOJ brings to the table.

He doesn't do anything other than though. He gets benched for messing up defensive assignments. He should have played over Parker today though.

I think what you saw today is how to win when you are down in the B1G at home. First, karate kick the opponen’s best player as hard as you can in the balls. Then, hand the refs some $G, then smother the ball and push over your opponents and have your best free theow shooters handle the ball so they keep sending them to the line on ticky tack calls. If your opponent threatens to score, hold down the arms of their worst free throw shooter so in the off chance he gets to the line, he won’t make them anyway.

In more seriousness, i can only assume Garcia is dealing with something terrible, but he didnt look in severe discomfort on the bench. You kind of need your best player at some point there during the run. So I’m quite curious to know why he didn’t go back in.
This is true...we had 2x as many fouls as they did...horrible reffing

True but I think it's unsurprising. When Iowa gets hot, they get hot. They've done it to other teams plenty of times.

Ben isn't much of an in game coach and that's pretty clear at this point, but this happens.
He really lacks any sense of the flow of the game at times. When the offense consists of jacking up unbalanced 3's as the shot clock expires, get a set or two that you can run to settle things down. I really want to see him break through but damn this is getting old.

lol @ kiddo.

But what is an acceptable run?

I was wrong and you were right (regarding a later run) which had nothing to do with my initial post). Go pop the 🍾 and celebrate your amazing victory; I’m sure your parents are soooo proud.

that’s my last word, as life is too short for me to waste my time with someone apparently misrepresented my posts to win a point. Keep winning champ, you’re too 😎. Bye forever

He's an average recruiter, but the roster management is poor. And the in game coaching....
Meanwhile the administration is singing... "now don't be sad.... cause 0 out of three aint bad."

Even if true, it's a problem if we can't hold onto an 18 point lead without him. Plenty of self-inflicted wounds in that collapse.
We stopped playing tough D and thought we were just going to outscore them. It was fool's gold... we were shooting 70% on 3s - then it stopped. Once they got it to ten it was obvious we were in trouble. The body language at the point was ...hang on.
