Gophers are 18-3 overall, 10-3 in the conference.
2-3 vs top-25 opponents, 2-0 vs top 10 opponents.

Offensive ppg: 35.8
Defensive ppg: 17.9
Average margin, +17.9 points.

The Gophers have not lost to an unranked opponent with PJ, Kirk and Rossi together.
Only 1 ranked opponent remains on the schedule right now, @ #11 Penn State.
Will this trend continue throughout the season?

These are great stats to point out. Pretty damn impressive! Ciarocca makes a huge difference, and of course Rossi has made all the difference on D when he took over. With Ciarocca last year the Gophers are your Big Ten West Champions.

Great post. We look like a well-oiled machine right now on both sides.

I don't know what happened, but the minute Rossi took over, the identity and personality of our team changed. It's weird to say this about a Gopher defense, especially after some dark years, but our defense is nasty. Big, athletic and deep at all 3 levels.

Our offensive line looks better and smoother since Kirk came back. He hides Tanner's weakness' and plays to his strengths very well. Spreads the ball to all of our athletes on the outside.

Of course, it will be interesting to see what KC can do with his guys after all of the key seniors leave.

Key seniors have been leaving. Bateman, Johnson, Kieft, all the OL guys, all the RBs. It continues with next man up. QB is the only position we haven't seen change in yet. But maybe Athan is just as good.

It’s just clicking right now with the coaching staff. They will be a tough out.

We have a bunch of key seniors leaving after this year, too.

I feel like Morgan will be the toughest to replace. Mo is awesome but these big 10 teams always seem to have running backs. First year quarterbacks have a steep learning curve.

Honestly, I think we will be fine if not better next year because our receivers will have another year's experience, plus we might get Crab back. Our QB, although not as experienced, will be more talented. Yes, we will miss Morgan, but the upside in Athan is intriguing. We will also miss Mo, but even now, if you take Mo out of the game, the running game doesn't miss a beat. Let's enjoy this year, but I'm excited for the years to come. I just hope Rossi wants to stay here forever with Fleck and KC.

I remember people lamenting our blown chance to win the West in 19 and saying when will we ever get such a great chance, then I heard it again in 21….

Great research and data! Those are amazing W-L numbers.

Go Fleck/Rossi/Kirk Trio!!

When a program becomes successful assistant coach become sought after by other programs. Hopefully Rossi is a good mentor.
