Tucker presser

likes the way Minnesota plays football, gives PJ credit, one of best olines in country, big, very good at what they do in the run game, inside zone, stretch, Mo runs the ball the way your supposed to run the rock...very efficient in the pass game, QB one of best in country...I watch the tape and I love how they play the game of football

impressed with how Thorne played...good check downs, good throwaways, used his feet, competitive

about no sacks vs UW...need better coordination up front, need better executions in rush schemes...as a cornerbacks guy, he takes giving up 400 yards passing personally, "Your resume is what's on tape....right now I'm a horseshit coach..."

Their pass D got exposed last year as well.

Tucker calls Spartan Stadium "The Woodshed" so we have to expect a fired up atmosphere and a physical game.
a win by the gophers will be quite the achievement

MSU needs this game bad after the beat down at Washington and the apparent lack of improvement from last season. There is no doubt they are going to give the Gophers their best shot. Definitely a game Spartan Nation has circled as the most pivotal of 2022. This game will define MSU’s season.

I think that goes for both teams. Win this game and the Gophers could be looking at a special season. Neither team would be out of it with a loss, but It would/ will make it much more challenging.

Reminds me of Penn State Minnesota in 2016, except that had added James Franklin hot seat implications

Not saying this is Sparty's backfield, but the Badgers and Hawkeyes defensive backs in the big games over the past few years when the Gophers had good wide receivers like Johnson, Bateman, and Autman-Bell, would seem to dare the refs to call defensive holding penalties early on in the game. This worked to slow down the passing game.

Yeah similar situation for sure. That game still bugs me as we had them third and long many times and their QB at the time kept hitting those slants against our inexperienced and undersized dback who ended up being a good player his last couple of years.
