When it initially happened and I saw the pain he was in, I was thinking a blown out knee. Then I saw the replay and didn’t see the knee buckle, I was thinking a meniscus or patella injury, with possibly a knee sprain. IDK We are all on the edge of our seats!

I’ll raise my hand to this. I still think it was the right decision to throw the ball and build confidence and chemistry for Tanner and the WRs. Terrible fluke play, feel so bad for CRAB. One of my absolute favorite players of the fleck era but we are going to need the pass game to win us a game or two. We are a run first team but we will need Tanner and Co. at some point this season to get us to Indy.

Interesting, my perspective was “good, we are going to get a great in-game two minute drill.” Nothing you do in practice replicates it in a game.

I didn’t think the pass was behind him, if anything to high and in front of him. I haven’t seen the replay though so you’re probably correct.

Fair. And I agree with getting reps in passing game. Why I was surprised we ran it ten straight times at one point and gave Mo 20 first half carries.

I do too...I was mostly posting that tongue in cheek. Though I do find it funny that some of the very people that were posting about it were then whining about how a WR got hurt. Their lack of self awareness is delicious.

Geez man, you're still on this!? The point is very clear - you don't pull your starters in the first half unless the game is so out of hand that Moses himself couldn't bring the losing team back.

Find me an example of a cfb team pulling starters in the first half up four scores. You can't because that is not a thing. It doesn't happen, so please stop and take your whiny, I hate PJ attitude back to Iowa.

Considering it was a non contact injury in the first half, it is probably just as “fair” to ask why why we have a 6th year senior practicing during the week and participating in pregame warmups too.

It was a perfect opportunity to run the 2-minute offense with the regulars. Not getting why people are questioning why he was in the game and why we were throwing the ball. It's extremely unfortunate what happened, especially because it was a fluky non-contact injury, but that's football for you.

I posted on another thread I saw him on the sidelines walking around. It was late in 4th and could very well been this player, was from a ways away.
 

What I know is the receiver corps struggled last year early without CAB. Limited separation. Wrong or bad routes. Etc. I hope they've they have improved and that some of those issues were Sanford related.

All of those issues were related to Sanford.
 



Considering he was a 6th year player you should be prepared to play as if he is not on the team. Having him play this year was a gift.

I think because it was mid way through the 2nd quarter and wins aren't guaranteed in the first half in 4 possession games.
