OLA JOSEPH

It’s crazy. He doesn’t even start. Think they just said that Compass has 9 guys with D1 offers. Yikes.

Why do kids transfer halfway across the country to not start when they could start and star where they are?

You don’t only get better with game minutes. He gets to play against better competition everyday in practice. Being the best player is great but having to work to get better helps you. Iron sharpens iron.

Exactly.
How many other D 1 bucket players on the Osseo roster?

its certainly this....
its also plenty of empty promises and bad advise as well for some cases.

I was bummed when i heard he was transferring out of the state....but thats just a high school basketball fans view point. as i was hoping to be able to watch him play a few times.

az compass have five players ranked ahead of him for 2022 on prephoops plus they have two highly ranked 2023 palyers

True, but there's also an opposite argument to be made.

Practicing against talented players is useful, but it also may hurt his development being deprived of being a high usage player in actual high leverage/in game situations that matter.

He had a block, grabbed several rebounds and seemed to play good defense. 0-2 from the FT line. He gets quite a bit of playing time with them. His team is very guard oriented, but he certainly doesn’t seem out of place playing with some of the highest rated kids in the country.

He has a B1G body. He just looked a step behind the others in game speed yesterday. He will be a project for Ben.

That was always the case and with our roster make up for next season that is completely ok.

He also joined them late, was initially at Prolific to start the year
He got asked to leave Prolific from what I heard. I hear the Gophers were not happy about it. He might not of had many options…

For my own selfish reasons he should have stayed at Osseo. Minnesota high school ball lost Heide, Mercy Miller, and Ola Joseph. Was really looking forward to making a drive and catching some games, but haven't yet.

One of the coaches for AZ Compass is Pete Kaffey aka Rashad Vaughn's handler. Was an assistant at Robbinsdale Cooper before he moved with Vaughn to Findlay Prep for his Senior season. $ubsequently, Vaughn ended up at UNLV.

Are you hinting at Ola going somewhere else next year?
