Also did not realize Cowboy Jack's is practically a McDonald's franchise! Thought it was Jack's downtown and Slim's in uptown.

The guy that used to own the original Sally's split off and started up the Clive's Roadhouse restaurants (Rogers, Champlin, Blaine, Burnsville). Clive's is solid.

The State Fairgrounds lot is underrated. Not that I'm a moocher, but there are many Gopher fans (Nebraska fans, too) that insist you eat some of their tailgating fare. Then, if you want the game day experience, jump on an early shuttle and head over to the stadium to check out the band, stadium, and tailgate lots, etc. I've got a crew that has a spot in a lot adjacent to the stadium so it is a sweet deal.

I used to do the State Fair lot in the early years. Easy ingress/egress and tailgating was great, but I got tired of the long wait for return shuttles. Has that improved?

Waited maybe 10mins to get on a bus back to the lot after the Wisc game. YMMV

Cowboy Slims, The Barn, Cowboy Jacks, Joint, Cabooze, Sallys, Hotel Crosby, Matchstick. all owned by the same group. Quite a big organization 4 states 16 locations, 13 alone in MN it is a very great franchise.
