That loss is Morgans loss

Agree!

this falls on TM.

yes, receivers dropped some balls, but Tanner missed way too many wide open receivers

Went away from the running game at an odd time but yes, this one is on Tanner.

I know his WRs are doing him no favors...looked like several missed routes.

Completely winnable game. Hang on Floyd...always next year.

It's too bad because Tanner seems like a great kid but the passing game has totally stagnated with him at Qb. Our OC doesn't help matters either.

Morgan didn’t make plays to help his team to win but the loss isn’t completely on him.

Conservative approach along with questionable coaching decisions makes these close games tough. A few plays decide the game when you make the decision to take this approach.

Offense scheme actually put the team in a place to win today. This loss isn’t on the OC, even though he still needs to go. Blatant misses by Morgan lost this today. I know a change won’t be made this season, but it’s time to move on from Sanford and Morgan this offseason. OL was dominant and D played good enough to win. Yes, there were drops. I think MBS has dropped as many passes as he’s caught in his career. But when you’re getting thrown to so infrequently, it’s not overly surprising when they have a drop when you actually get the ball thrown your way.

Seems like many people have been criticizing the Gopher quarterbacks for as long as I can remember. 55 years that I've been following I believe.

I feel bad for Morgan, actually. He looked so good 2 years ago and I know he really wants to win but something happened and he is no longer that same QB. Somebody or something really f----- him up pretty bad. He is a nice kid but you can tell his confidence is completely shot.

You have got to replace him here.

To me, it’s maybe 2/3 on Morgan and 1/3 on PJ. Neither helped the team today.

Also stop saying I/We need to play better. It sounds like a broken record now. Just play better or don't play at all!

The Gophers didn't lose this football game. Tanner Morgan lost this game plain and simple.

Agreed. People are bitching about the conservative play calling, but it's conservative because the passing game with Morgan and this group of mediocre receivers is complete garbage.

Good kid, but I think I’m ready for the Tanner Morgan era to be over. Sanford, too.
I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately - they just blew what could have been a very special year. We will never see an OL with that much experience ever again.

TM was not good but he didn't call for that FG or miss the tackle on the next TD. Team loss.
TOP counts big; turnovers count big; but in the end, who makes the critical play when it counts is bigger. Iowa had guys who did; we didn’t. TM had a pretty bad game; but we don’t have anyone on offense who steps up and makes the big play when needed. Lot of individual talent but no on-the-field alpha leader on offense. Our defense has some real leaders. Defense made only two mistakes but Iowa took 14 points from them. Our offense didn’t exploit Iowa mistakes. This is really a mediocre at best offense.

Annexstead did win the only competition between he and Morgan. At the open practice this year Annexstead threw the better ball and actually went through progressions.

Quick reminder that Sanford is also the QB coach.
I've been wondering when someone would finally mention that... For all the Sanford bashing, this is where it would be legit. The OC stuff is silly, as Simon is co-OC and Fleck has plenty of input... but where is the improvement at QB?

Many try to say that Morgan regressed, but I don't think that's accurate. I think he is what he's always been. 2019 was all about the receivers making him (and ol' Kirk) look great. Sanford sure hasn't made Tanner a better QB.
