Wisconsin is halfway through the season and they have not looked great in their losses, and haven't looked great in their wins.

WI's schedule has:
@Purdue
Iowa
@Rutgers
Northwestern
Nebraska
@Minnesota

Curious to see how many people think their season is dead.

Invalid poll options. If Wisconsin wins out they will win the West.

With their defense they can stay in most games but the OL and QB are so inconsistent that they could lose most of their remaining games or win out.
There is chatter that the OL coach should be made redundant despite being the HC's BFF.
Even though BA is no longer the AD you can be sure he is not happy with what he is seeing.

Should be an interesting match up with Purdue, Bell will give their secondary fits, but their front seven should be a nightmare for the Purdue Oline. It'll come down to which offense can make a play and right now I would trust the Purdue offense more than the Wisconsin offense

If they take the Iowa approach and don't double Karlaftis I like his chances of forcing Chase Wolf into the game, heck maybe even Danny Vanden Boom.

If Wisconsin loses to Purdue it will be very difficult for them to be in the race at the end.

Fing Badgers could easily win em all just to spite us!
And don’t think that’s not the reason!

I say let's just worry about ourselves and let whatever happens to the skunks, happen! As long as we beat them of course.

This fascination with their team(s) will end when we start winning as much as they do..

Wisconsin has earned the benefit of the doubt and counting them out is foolish.

That said, they are definitely in a tough spot and have to basically win out to have any shot of winning the division as it stands right now. A loss to either Purdue or Iowa in the next two weeks would basically eliminate them from the West title picture.

Their game against Iowa in 2 weeks might be an epic 6-3 kind of game where neither offense can manage to do anything.

Will win one of next two:

then three in a row

the a 50/50 game vs MN

I doubt it. Still lots of talk about Scott Frost and Nebraska here even though we've been frequently beating them and finishing ahead of them for a few years now. I haven't visited Buckyville in quite awhile, but I recall they frequently have a thread or two about Minnesota on their front page, even during their long winning streak against us. It's part of why I don't agree with the "not a real rivalry" take that comes up when one team is better than the other for awhile. We beat Wisconsin in 2018, won more games and finished with a higher AP ranking than them in 2019, lost to them on the road in overtime on a missed field goal last year, and currently have a better record than them this year. We're at least on close to equal footing with them in the past few years, and we're still invested in the rivalry.

If they lose they need Purdue to go at least 2-3 in their final games to still be in the hunt

Which is why I still think wisconsin has a chance to win the west.

I’d put it:
Iowa 35
Minnesota 25
Wisconsin 25
Purdue 15

Purdue has a loss to Mn already and has to play Ohio state and Michigan state. Diminishing their chances.
I think the big ten west champ could have 2-3 conference losses.
