They deserve mention and kudos for what has become a consistently terrific and vocal section of the stadium. They’re a big and positive part of the great game day experience.

Yesterday was what makes college football games special: near-perfect weather, beautiful colors, a very entertaining game, and . . . a Gopher “W”!!

I thought that the early game showed us the effects of Bowling Green. The were slow to show up but the game kept them interested. Hopefully we can still count on them against Illinois

Isn't Maryland a home game this week too?

Yes. And it's a 2:30 game.....so hopefully it will get late risers there. But there may be a drop off from students who drink themselves into a stupor by midday.

Hey! And it's another ESPN2 game. Show out, Gophers!

It is -- I was just getting to the point that when the weather turns sour I hope that the students continue to stay -- didn't spell it out at all.

Ah gotcha. Yeah, I think 2019 showed that if we are in the mix in November, the students will be there and be loud. We definitely have every opportunity to make that Illinois game very meaningful.

I hope you are right but those two games in November were top 10ish teams.

I thought the student section was great yesterday. Lots of movement, lots of noise. I figured they might start drifting away after halftime, but they stayed and made a huge difference.

ummmm....the students are tougher than most fair-weather adult Gopher fans

Those that showed up though the years yeah.

But that's historically not a huge number.

Seems to be changing, that's what matters.
I hope that what we are seeing is a change, but let's not ask Souhan.
