Iowa and Bucky would be at 2 losses right now. One of them would be eliminated next we as they play head to head. I think it's very possible that Iowa and Wisconsin would lose 3 games in the conference had Iowa lost last week.

Our chance to win the west would have been right in front of us. I get that it still is, but we could have even had a little wiggle room.

Purdue is still in the race, they have a tough schedule though.

If you're a Gopher, you have your destiny in your own hands... and you would have had your destiny in your hands, even if Iowa had won.

I cannot see a single reason why the 2021 Gophers should feel inferior to or intimidated by the 2021 versions of either Iowa or Wisconsin. I'm not saying Minnesota is going to beat both of them, but I think the Gophers are more than capable of beating them both.

If the Gophers handle their next three games (which they should) we obviously should be in the driver seat heading into our last three games. In fact it is possible we only need to win 2 of 3 to take the West. However, I am still not confident in this team. I am so glad our next two games are at home against inferior competition. Gives us a chance to define ourselves in a way that primes us for IA and WI games.

Northwestern game is at their place but the inferior opponent part is true.

If we play well, certainly not a guarantee with this team, we should beat Maryland, Northwestern, and Illinois and all 3 wins should be comfortable. Glad the Maryland game is at home as of the 3 they are the most scary with their offensive potential.

That final stretch doesn't look as daunting as it did before the season started. The formula for beating Iowa was on full display in the Purdue game, Indiana has taken a big step back from last year, and Wisconsin is a lot like Iowa in that their defense is strong but their offense is not.

We may not have an "easy" game left on the schedule but all of them feel winnable, which is shocking considering we have lost our top 2 RB for the season.

I could honestly see the West coming down to us or Purdue. Which would be awesome since we have the tiebreaker with them.
