The A-team trio will broadcast...the BIG NOON studio team will be in MPLS:

FOX owns the fall, starting with college football Saturdays, led by some of college football’s best and brightest. Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft reunite for the fifth consecutive year to call BIG NOON SATURDAY, the network’s biggest game of the week at 12:00 PM ET. Today’s announcement was made by Brad Zager, Executive Producer, Executive Vice President/Head of Production and Operations, FOX Sports.

Johnson, Klatt and Taft open the season Thursday, Sept. 2, at 8:00 PM ET when Ohio State takes on Minnesota in Minneapolis before heading to Madison, WI, on Saturday, Sept. 4, for Penn State at Wisconsin at 12:00 PM ET on FOX.

The trio is joined in Minneapolis and Madison by the BIG NOON KICKOFF crew, featuring host Rob Stone, alongside college football legends Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn and Bob Stoops. BIG NOON KICKOFF is on-site for the first four weeks of FOX Sports’ college football season, bringing the show on the road to stadiums and tailgates across the nation.

Just my opinion, but I can't stand Gus Johnson.

He's better at basketball, but really doesn't know football well enough to be their #1 guy.

Whenever he calls a game, that one goes on mute, and I turn up a different TV.

Big Noon Kickoff is FOX's version of Gameday, right?

So are they going to have a set built up at TCF (Huntington ) and do a live broadcast? Or is that only going to be at the the game in Madison?

If you mute him you miss classics like this

Agree, Gus' constant over-excited yelling is annoying. I'll mute the game and have music on instead. When a big play happens, I'll rewind and play the audio if needed. If I was forced to listen to an entire broadcast, I'd rather have Pam Ward announcing.

My favorite recent announcing team is Brad Nessler with Gary Danielson or Todd Blackledge.

Hopefully the Gophers will put on a much better show for Klatt than they have for recent visits by Herbstreit.

Big Noon “Saturday”

I guess it makes sense for the Big “Ten”

I love Gus Johnson and am glad he's Big Ten associated with BTN and now Fox.

Very clear that Fox wants this show to be their equivalent to ESPN's GameDay, and is building it around the Big Ten. I expect them to announce more on-location shows during the Big Ten season.

This...Gus Johnson sucks. He doesnt paint a great picture and has clear bias for every game he does.

Not a fan: Don't hear many/any gopher calls and too many Ohio state calls.

Gus will seem like a homer of your team if your team is winning.

He's not going to get excited and call stuff in your favor if your team isn't doing anything.

Bull****
2018 v ohio st. The TD Gophers that put us up twice was pretty quiet and short vs a Haskins TD pass which was 5x the decibel.

Hes loud and isnt very good imo. Nessler all day

You might be the only one.

I watched for the first few minutes and thought "This is nice. Lots of wisconsin getting beat up". Then the monty ball lowlight against nebraska and turned it off.

Otherwise I never thought one way or another about him, but I do lke his energy after seeing this one. Not everyone can be Keith Jackson, and thank God not everyone can be Chris Collinsworthess.

Other potential "one of us" broadcasters are Glen Mason, Derek Rackley, and Clay Matvick. They all do a decent job. I do agree Provus is good.

For what it's worth on the other broadcasters - I'm not a big fan of Nessler. Johnson is fine.

The 2 broadcasters that come to mind that I can't stand are Matt Millen and Dan Dierdorf.

Gus has some of the best March Madness calls of the last 20 years. I can remember certain shots or moments due to Gus' energy

Exactly. He seems in the tank for Ohio State because they have the momentum in most of the games they play. I'm certain that if the Gophers show out on Thursday night he will be very hyped for the maroon and black.

Gus Johnson
I Like: He calls games like he’s a radio guy.
I Dislike: He seems to always have a favorite.
