2021 Freshman Move-In Day! - Video

So awesome to see everything progressing like a normal season. Hopefully nothing derails it and we see a 2021 season that resembles what we have seen in the past as opposed to the massive cluster F that 2020 turned into.

I just hope everyone gets vaccinated. (IIRC the school hasn't decided on requiring it or not yet)

Hate to see folks miss games and etc because they skipped the shot and etc.

Not so much they would miss games etc., but rather so that they don't spread it. Kind of like the smoker who can completely smoke out a room leaving everyone's clothes, hair etc., full of smoke in addition to the stink and lung cancer.

Please stop with the vaccine narrative. This thread is about move in day, not whether you think other people should get the vaccine.

I keep clicking on these videos. They all are less than a minute and never make me go "wow" or "that's cool" or "I did not realize that" or provide any information.
My biggest point is: If they were better nobody would be talking about vaccines. We'd be talking Gopher football!!

Well someone mentioned 2020 and just mention that year and ... it's gonna come up. If someone gets triggered by that ... I'm not going to pretend having guys out last year was because the tooth fairy was mad at the team or something.

Otherwise these videos are all promotional / advert style videos. I think they're fun videos. But yeah they're not super content rich.

But I'm not sure anyone even reads the articles posted here that are content rich ;)

I agree. Afterward, I have the same look on my face that my dad did many, many, years ago when I showed him how I could "moon walk".
Marketing is moving past us. We're getting old.

They're not as good as a good episode of Matlock that's for sure!

Now that's funny! I didn't get much out of the video, but still enjoyed it. It would have been nicer to maybe put some names on the screen, like I heard who I think was Jameson Greers say his name, and I think Athan did to, when they were shaking hands with each other. But a name, like how VH1 would do pop-up video, would have made it nicer I think.

Ya know, Fred Cox guy, I was just never quite able to get very good at moon walking. Kudos to you! Even though your dad wasn't impressed, I am. Might make a good video? :)

Just responding to what someone else had said. Sounds like you're against the Vaccine as I hit a nerve.

The video is a way to communicate that freshmen are now on campus. It's really not that hard to figure it out.

It's basically the same thing as Sid Hartman having a blurb in his jottings pre-internet that said "incoming freshmen are now on campus and starting summer workouts next week."

But it's visual instead of in a newspaper. Get it??

OH wow, thank you. I couldn't figure that out all by myself kind sir.
You made my point. It is 2021. Not pre-internet. The videos COULD be a gigantic leap forward with technology today to provide information and entertainment. But to quote you: "It's basically the same thing as Sid Hartman" 30,40 or 70 years ago. Yet right now, we do have the talent, ability, communication channels, video medium to do so much better. But we aren't was my point.

If we aspire to be National Champions it is all about culture, amirite? That's holding anybody in the program accountable. Do better! Change your best! Make each other better!

Really? So a few Gopher football players checked in. I don't think 99.9% of Minnesota people really care. Nor is it news worthy.

Glad to have them here and ready to go work. Can't we just leave it at that?

I hesitate to extend this thread, but I cannot let a Matlock reference pass without this:
