    :) One more thing about Wacker. When the Gophers fired him, Wacker had the guts to say "We absolutely should have been winning more games by now." He understood the firing and owned it. Most coaches don't do that anymore. They blame the University, AD, donors.

    My oldest gopher memories are the Jim Wacker era. Absolutely a great guy and an easy person to root for. If positivity equaled wins Wacker never would have lost a game. Unfortunately it didn't. RIP Jim Wacker.

    I went D. Not as good as I expected. Barely a passing grade if you want to call it that. If Im being optimistic Its because we have a young quarterback and the future can still be bright. A win is a win I guess...

    Yes!!! This is very true. Nebraska fans are some of the nicest to talk to. One of my favorite exchanges: NEBRASKA FAN: "We're can't stop the pass". ME: "Don't worry. We can't pass". Can't remember which qb that was. It was during the Jerry Kill era. It made the Nebraska fans laugh though.
