If, and I know it's just for fun, but if you could pick 1 game to win in the last 3 and only 1, which game would you pick ?
It's northwestern but it is a game at Wrigley Field. That would be a memory forever.
It's wisconsin and we hate them but what if...
It's Oregon and we could say we beat...
I voted "other".
When have we had the star player for the other team drop a touchdown pass ? When have we had instant replay give us a break like it did today? When have we seen a defensive pass interference against us called off after the play happened? For once luck was on our side.
The only thing I can think of is run some RPO with WR slants or crossing routes as the pass option.
We actually play better when we play fast as well. I wonder if we did it all game what would the results be.
I'm 47 years old. How many times am I fandom have we lost games like that. We literally had every penalty called our way and every little thing went our way that could go our way in order for us to win a game we should not have won. It's time to start drinking as it feels good.
As a long time fan, sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy games that everything in your history says you are going to lose yet you end up winning.
Who cares. I was at kid and young adult in the '80s and '90s. We lost games in the craziest ways possible. So, watching today's game where we win a game that every single thing it could go our way went our way, all I can say is that was awesome. Just sit back and enjoy it. Trust me.
You said it perfectly. I could not agree more.
Simply enjoy it. Enjoy the fact we got all the penalty calls. Enjoy the fact we made plays that were so lucky. Enjoy the fact that we made plays that we don't normally make. Enjoy the fact they dropped passes.
After decades of sucking from age...
Do Maryland and/or Wisconsin fire their coaches at the end of the season ?
Add in Penn State to those 2 and I am betting that the lure of Brian Kelly & Bill Napier could be enough to pull the trigger.
I am not a fan of Brian Kelly going to Wisconsin as I think he would turn that ship around...
LSU has won 3 Natty's between their last 3 coaches before Brian K. Florida has 3 Natty's since I graduated high school and 8 SEC champiosnhips along with 15 SEC East division titles. They are a blue blood.
Both parties are great for certain reasons. When it comes to funding Athletics though, let's be honest, the South and more Republican dominated universities tend to have more money for nil.
