    2026 Schedule

IIRC the Seattle Alumni association is one of the larger alumni associations of the U (but maybe I'm remembering wrong, lol), so hopefully there is a large Gopher contingent there! I love in Seattle and we've had this game circled on the calendar since it was first announced. I've got family...

ESPN: FBS coaches vote unanimously to adjust sport's redshirt rule (play up to 9 games without losing redshirt)

When I initially saw the headline my first thought was "why not just let them play 5 full years at this point?". Turns out that was the initial proposal, however due to some recent controversial eligibility rulings they decided to dial it back a bit and compromise on 9 games instead.

Gophers plan to hire Isaac Fruechte and Mo Ibrahim as assistant coaches

I don't remember much other than that he was better than me, which is not the highest bar of measure, haha

Gophers plan to hire Isaac Fruechte and Mo Ibrahim as assistant coaches

I had a bowling class with Issac Fruechte (my first year at the U and I think his last year), didn't get super close but the group of us that would bowl together during class had a lot of fun over the course of the semester! I hope he is successful as our WR coach!

Special Teams Coach Bob Ligashesky will not be retained for next season.

Well, I think we all can agree at least one of them needs to go. I personally think both, but at minimum you either find a new OL that can work with the offensive scheme Harbaugh runs, or find an OC that runs an offense that meshes with Callahan's strengths as an OL coach. The worst thing to...

Describe the Gophers Rate Bowl win in 1 sentence.

    A win is a win . . . . . I guess . . . .

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS NEW MEXICO RATE BOWL, LONGEST BOWL WINNING STREAK IN BT HISTORY IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I think he's had enough time, and the downward trend of the overall OL performance has solidified. At a certain point you have to let go of what someone has done in the past and look at what they are doing right now.

And some people here think that we don't need to fire our OL coach. We're a B1G team. Our OL should dominate the DL of a mountain west team. The fact that they aren't means the OL needs a new coach.

    Fan culture (students)

This is the type of thing that will hopefully pay dividends long term. More students attending the games, staying the whole time, and being loud/engaged with the game leads to a few things IMO: Better overall atmosphere at the game. It encourages even more students to attend because they hear...

    Joe Rossi

Honestly, if we were to not keep our current DC Vince Kehres is who I would want Fleck to pursue. I had a whole post written up last night that I was gonna post about him, but an unfortunate mis-click with my mouse closed my browser window and deleted everything. He has years of experience as...

(Originally posted in 2023) Who would you pick to replace our OC/QB coach and why? (My pick: Mack Leftwich)

This thread was originally from October 2023, it was resurrected after someone saw that Mack Leftwich now is the OC at #5 Texas Tech. Right now I agree, DC is the coordinator to focus on.

    Joe Rossi

After getting burned by Kirk Ciarrocca leaving for a second time after Fleck hired him back, I doubt Fleck will risk the same thing happening by hiring Rossi back.
