IMHO, it should be. I'm not going to say all, but realistically the P4 conference champs are going to have to play extra games against what....Top 15....maybe top 10 or top 5 teams, where ND could just add one more practice game against a middling MAC or Conf USA team.

Notre Dame also doesn't have to play in a conference championship game, which is basically an extra play-off game for everyone else.

I know.....I remember taking $40 to a Twins DH circa '02 and spreading 8 20oz beers across 15 innings.

More across the board than just the gophers, but knowing if I had a $20 that was going to get me 4 beers.

I wonder if that was a recent change. I remember one of the first two season of Last Chance (probably the 1st one), EMCC was chasing a playoff spot, the NCJAA top 10 was on the screen for a short hit and Rochester(MN) was #2.

EMCC was season 1 and 2 of Last Chance U. The "second team" was Independence.

Ohio State won the natty with their 3rd string QB back in like 2014 or 15. He won 3 games....B1G Championship, Sugar Bowl and the CFP National Championship game....... The committee's cop out even contradicts themselves.

Making my youth hockey trek across south eastern MN today.....I actually thought about this and realistically......it's not the worst plan on the planet. The committee has basically said 99% of college football teams literally have nothing to play for.

So The U's recruiting philosophy would be. "we plan to hire the next PJ Fleck every 3-5 years, so the coach you start with probably won't be there at the end, but here's some extra NIL $$"?

$150 is better, but that still sounds low to me. I know guys that almost make that much officiating an hour long youth hockey game.

Well ya, the NSIC never was a very good football conference. Before the merger with what was left of the NCC, it was Northern St, WSU then everyone else (CSP could steak up once in a while)... The NSIC had even stricter rules on scholarships because the original member schools weren't all that...
