    How about the reason is JJ has been historically bad and major team infrastructure both on and off field will be changing as a result? Max being a Gopher is a cute story. JJ looks really bad so far.

    My take - It does not ALL come down to coaching. If I had my choice between a massive NIL fund or a top 5 coach, I’d take the NiL fund every time. PJ is def a mid tier coach when it comes to in game coaching, but $10M more would absolutely get us more wins and significantly better recruits.

    I truly think we have a rare advantage - this state has the flagship program (UMN) and St Thomas. The U doesn’t need to compete with other teams the same way a UCLA does. Get that fucking money!

    I know you aren’t I don’t hate on PJ - I am a fan of his work at the U overall, but it is not overblown in my mind. Multiple seasons in which we needed one more win and should have had it.
