I think you’re underselling Vaihola. Sure these were summit league opponents but he does so many of the little things - screening, rebounding, sealing off driving lanes. He was so, so good today.
Don't think it's a good idea to play an away game in a Summit League arena and forego the revenue. Either they come here for free or split the revenue at their place (they'll never do that). They have no leverage, why are we negotiating?
It would’ve been an exhibition to open the arena. Wouldn’t have impacted the army game. St. Thomas just didn’t want to lose the first game in their new arena.
Pretty sure McAndrew's dad played for McDermott when he was an assistant at UND. So there was also a connection there. (We probably wouldn't have landed him anyway)
I think playing St. Thomas is equivalent to playing Omaha. I genuinely don't care. I'm on the side of it not mattering at all. Your assertion was silly. There's not a team in the country that will outdraw the gophers at the barn. It just doesn't happen to home teams almost everywhere.
He nailed that presser. I'm all in. I'm in a group chat with people already looking into buying season tickets. Wish I lived in Minnesota because I'd be right there.
Huge disagree. If you're going to play the game, it needs to be at the Barn 9 out of 10 times. Play at St. Thomas once every 10 matchups.
And it can't be a buy game. If it never happens, it'll be because St. Thomas won't do it for free.
