I thought it was a great crowd considering but there were lots of empty seats at stadiums around the country. The white out game was the exception but the helmet schools are not immune to this.
There was a period of about 10 years in the 1970's when Bloomington had 3 high schools. Enrollment, finances, and demographics can change rapidly. Perhaps we may at some point go back to the Bloomington Bears. The city is land locked for growth but it still may be just to big for one high school.
The western half where Armstrong is in Plymouth but I am not sure of the exact boundaries. That is where the money is. I wonder if Bloomington will ever go this route.
The Robbinsdale school district wants to close Armstrong and Cooper high schools because of declining enrollment and a growing deficit. They want to build one state of the art high school for the whole district. If this does happen I am sure they would be in the biggest class. Bring back the old...
