Rematch highlights now available on Fresh Coast Hoops. I sadly am not a link master but what a game for Anderson in a losing effort. Young Cade Tyson indeed. Babou was subpar offensively, but Thelen and IVerson were strong. Time to bring the cousin into the fold. After all….he’s a lefty!
Ha! Crocker-Johnson and Reynolds draw most of my attention, but I don’t think this is new stuff for Ike. He was a great slasher, rebounder, and defender at Cherry where they had little size. His game is built from the inside out. Though he has a good looking jumper, it doesn’t go in enough...
I see things through maroon and gold glasses, so keep that in mind, BUT I think he would be the best ball handler if he were on the current team. He’s a gym rat (father has been assistant coaching in the east metro forever) and has a nice feel for offense.
As Calvin Murphy used to say...
Went to see Cedric last night…..scored 38 against Irondale. 3 level scorer as described here. Had a couple shots swatted at the rim, but also took contact and could have been at the line for 2 or 3 more two shot fouls. Since his 50 point game, he also had 47 vs. Stillwater and 29 against White Bear.
I do like Thielen’s potential. He has a nice stroke, passes pretty well for a big, can be a rim protector (which we certainly need). And hey….he’s a lefty!
At this stage of my fan career, I look for memorable plays, and THAT one will stay with me. I would think coaches everywhere will have that one cued up for hustle pep talks.
If you watch the YouTube footage of the Park-Orono game, the Twins play above the rim and look good! Easy dunkers and nice stroke. Also like Miles Newton from Breck. No idea why he isn’t high major.
