I agree for the most part. Asuma, Durkin, Crocker-Johnson, and Grove are the base. Willis would have added a lot to the team this year and could be a big part next year. Add the three freshman and we're up to 8. The last four spots will be interesting. We definitely need size so I suspect...
I know it is 2026 and the Transfer Portal is real and NIL is here but...IF we are able to keep the core of this team intact, and get our injured players back, and the three freshman arrive, here is what we would have...
Jaylen Crocker-Johnson has been our most important player this season. Sure...Cade Tyson is going to lead the team in points and Isaac Asuma is likely to lead the team in assists...but Crocker-Johnson has been the glue guy. Gives us a little (or a lot) or everything--scoring, rebounding...
My son had the opportunity to interview Jaron Thomas last week about his recruitment and transfer. Discussed Coach Mo and the opportunity Jaron has at The University of Minnesota. Here is a link to the video
As for the thread title...I love what the Gophers are doing now. Don't expect it to last with 7 players. Enjoying it now nonetheless. We dug ourselves a hole early in the season on the West Coast and I can't see us overcoming that as it relates to an NCAA bid (PRAY I am I wrong). So the...
Jaron Thomas attended high school at Concord (Elkhart IN) where my son and him went to school together. He has huge upside and could be a significant contributor. His brother holds the 100m record at Concord. Looking forward to seeing him in Maroon and Gold. P.S. One of his HS teammates is...
IDK. We may have lost but I don't believe New Mexico is that far behind some of the P4 programs that got bowl bids...Pitt, Duke, Arizona State, Mississippi State, Wake Forest, and add in Iowa State (who opted out). I don;t think we would lose by 40 to any of those teams
So my son and I will be coming to the game from Indiana. Besides the game itself, does anyone here know of any Gopher fan gatherings planned for the weekend? Would love to join
IDK. He may or may not be 'guilty' but that is a fine line. On the football side, I think this weakens the Wolverines next year but might be helping the Wolverines in the future. Never really thought Sharrone was the guy long-term
