Former Gopher Assistant Jason Kemp Named MSUM Head Men’s Basketball Coach

Glad to see they managed to pick up an experienced assistant coach. Really hoping to see him continue the success. Since 2010, the Dragons have won 13 early season regional challenges/tournaments, 2 conference regular season titles, 3 conference tournament titles, 4 division titles, 9 NCAA...

    Minnesota's Impressive DB Run

Justin Walley getting drafted by the Indianapolis Colts marks the 11th Gopher DB selected since 2010. Over the last 15 years, there's been a really impressive run of Minnesota defensive backs, with quite a few making a mark professionally. Marcus Sherels, 2007-2009 4 INTs, 106 Combined...

    Utah to B1G?

Exactly this, it's all been centered on TV. Was the case with the last several additions, USC and UCLA for the Los Angeles markets, Rutgers, for NYC, Maryland for DC. Even Washington and Oregon bring in Seattle and Portland. If it was based on geography, there are so many better choices that...

Kordell Stewart doesn’t have his number retired. He won two bowl games and finished in the top 10 twice. But he wasn’t the coach's son. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah Stewart's number hasn't been retired, neither has Eric Bieniemy's who is their all-time rushing leader (yards and TDs) and was part of the 1990 national title team.

2025 NCAA Hockey National Championship Game Thread

Figured we could have one of these for the game tonight. The last college hockey, basketball or football we'll see until August. Predictions? Western Michigan kind of has that team of destiny vibe but I wouldn't count out Boston U. I'm leaning Broncos.

PP: Can freshman sensation Koi Perich also play offense?

I don't mind the idea at all. Obviously there's a risk of injury but having him in sporadically wouldn't hurt. Kind of like what Michigan did with Jabrill Peppers.

All Things 2025 NCAA Tournament Games Thread

What the hell was that final possession for Houston? Anyway, that's a wrap on the 2025 college basketball season. Here's a list of national champions/post-season tournament champions NCAA DI - Florida (FL) NIT - Chattanooga (TN) CBC - Nebraska (NE) CBI - Illinois State (IL) NCAA DII - Nova...

Sign right here if you love the Duke choke!

I was happy to see Houston win because I love a good comeback and had them playing in the title game for my bracket. With that said, am I the only one who doesn't care about Duke all that much? Teams that don't play Minnesota much, I just can't really bring myself to get really fired up about...

You knew NIL was going to be the Wild West, here’s some proof for you.

I continue thinking there will be contracts introduced at some point for college students, at least at the DI level. There's going to be a want for more stability both with NIL and the transfer portal, because like the title of this thread says, it's the Wild West.
