I generally don’t get too excited about commitments. I really start caring when they put on a Minnesota uniform. But this one feels good just because I know it pisses off a bunch of Wisconsin fans.

I avoid these types of threads and I’m pretty sure I did so back in February with this one. Now I remember why. We sure are a pessimistic bunch, aren’t we. :p And I will admit it’s usually for a good reason. Personally, I’d rather be optimistic and wrong than pessimistic and right.

As long as SEC only plays 8 conference games, I hope they get excluded as often as possible. If you removed Wisconsin from this year's schedule for Alabama and replaced them with even a middling SEC team, they may have ended up with a record of 8-4.

I just wish for the Gophers to play their bowl game on an actual football field and outdoors. And if I can get greedy with my wishes, if Nebraska does get bowl eligible, I want them to end up in Detroit. :p

It was my impression that what Oregon did was to gain the benefit of the extra defender being on the field and participating in the play to help prevent a long gain. Now that benefit is gone if the player has to be running off the field.
